I am a hobbyist woodenworker, making furniture. The paper is a new formulation from Festool, that lasts longer than their other papers and does no longer load up nearly as so much. Therefore, it ultimates longer.
While Festool papers should now not less expensive, their device makes sanding, my least-favorite woodworking process, as a minimum tolerable. There are holes within the paper that match the holes in the sanding pads to eliminate just about the entire sanding dust from the realm when hooked as a lot as a vacuum. The Granat paper may be very efficient and is available in a broad range of grits, so that it could be used from initial sanding to ending.
This paper is cut in strips to suit a hand-sanding block, so does no longer have the holes.
